Are you a small business ready for more traction? Do you have an idea or service that has yet to find its feet? If so, then this blog post is for you! There are many ways that small conscious businesses under $100k in revenue can start getting traction, and here are three tips to help get your business up and running.

First, consider specializing in a niche. Many small businesses tend to cast their nets wide when they first start out – offering services ranging from web design and graphic design, to video production and social media marketing. While there may be some success in such a broad approach, specializing in one or two areas of expertise will allow you to become better known for those specific services. This can help attract clients who need those particular services – making it easier for them (and yourself) when it comes time for contracting.

Second, research your potential clients’ pain points and create solutions around them. Knowing what challenges your target audience is facing makes it easier (and more profitable!) when creating products or services around them. For example, if you notice that many of your prospective clients lack graphic expertise but need help with logo design and branding, you could create a service to bridge that gap. By understanding their needs better, you can provide valuable solutions to your clients – setting yourself apart from your counterparts.

Third, use marketing platforms and be consistent with your messaging. Platforms like Facebook are an invaluable way to reach potential customers and build up a following of loyal fans. Consistency is key here; try to post once a week (or more!) with content that will resonate with your target audience. This will help ensure that when potential clients are interested in your services, they’ll have seen enough of your expertise to feel confident in contracting you for their project or product.

And as a bonus, don’t forget the importance of building a strong network. This is essential not just for growing your client base, but also for staying informed on industry news as well as having access to other experts who can help mentor or advise you on tough decisions or projects. A good network also provides support when needed – so keep this in mind.

By taking these steps – specializing in a niche, researching pain points and creating solutions around them, using marketing platforms consistently and building a strong network – small businesses under $100k in revenue won’t get traction overnight, but they will be on the road to it. These tips will make it easier for you to find the success that you envision, so start implementing them today. Good luck!
